for the gamers back again i just completed ratchet & clank into the nexus i bought it super long ago.. i think like 2015 maybe.. i just now played it here's my review graphics: its a ps3 game.. the art style is cartoony, and the game is fairly open, so with all of that said the graphics are well done.. there's a lot of detail in the world.. there's a lot of life in the areas so they don't feel static.. the framerate did stutter at times.. for whatever reason i seemed to like the daylight areas more than the darker areas.. animation is well done sound: sound effects were on point for a game of this type.. the soundtrack was standard sort of orchestral stuff you might hear in the background in a disney movie.. in my opinion its really just there to accentuate whatever happens on screen.. the standout in the sound category was the voice acting.. all the voices and lines were very well executed and i laughed out loud on some parts.. my favorite voices were the main characters ratchet and clank themselves (sidenote: i recently watched the sonic the hedgehog movie with jim carey and i wasn't feeling sonic's voice) this game is very short.. in my estimation i would say it was less than half the length of a normal game.. this didn't actually bother me at all.. when the game came out it came out at a discounted rate, also for me it was nice for it to end so soon since i'm trying to clear out backlog games.. overall, as long as a person knows its a part of a series i think they'll be ok with it... if a person didn't know that though- they would likely be confused at the length and the story now when it comes to the story, when i started the game it felt like i had entered something that already started.. but again- that is likely due to the episodic nature of this.. there wasn't a ton to the story.. some of ratchet's robot peeps get merked and ratchet misses his homies and wants justice.. but not like on some rambo/duke nukem type.. he just wants people to be held accountable for their actions the game was harder than i expected it to be.. i guess i didn't think a cartoony game would get tough at times but it kinda did.. the last boss was ridiculous.. i didn't know he was the last boss so i was majorly confused when i found myself getting my cheeks spread wide when i thought i was still only midway through the game the guns in the game are silly but there is still a lot of strategy in which guns you use and why.. also there's one gun that seems really ridiculous.. its a gun where you shoot out a scary face.. and it seems dumb but i actually used that a lot because it distracts enemies.. so there is some depth in what looks childish at first glance fun facts: this game came with a voucher for i guess what is another episode in this series.. the voucher was for ratchet and clank: quest for booty.. the voucher had a 3 year long period where you could use it before it expired but that has passed i happened to look this up online for some reason and i saw that it was going for some fairly high prices on amazon and ebay now overall, i would not recommend this to anyone unless they are a r&c diehard.. the main reason i wouldn't recommend it is because peeps would likely have a much better time playing the ps4 and ps5 ratchet games i would probably give this about a 7.5 i feel that the game started out slow when you're in the space station but got a lot better when you finally left i definitely like ratchet and clank's chemistry as a team the short and sweet nature of the game could be nice for someone who just wants to beat a game in a day, cop some trophies and keep it pushin next day edit: no cap i realized nexus is a graphical downgrade from their previous games.. quest for booty came out in 2008.. nexus came out in 2013 quest looks way better than nexus it appears the resolution and framerate are both better on quest no cap this makes me want to lower the score on nexus.. i'll let it sit for now but this is ridiculous
