i just wanted to post this exchange i had with a guy on a forum
it captures some of my thoughts on music.. and newer generations of music.. i feel like u have to let people live and learn and grown on their own basically i don't agree with people who try to put old ideas and blueprints on new artists.. they're not approaching it the same way and that's ok guy: Iono if u trolling or not but bro if u think coi leray has talent then u on drugs me: every rapper isn't going to play by the same rules as whatever u think is legit her music is fun and relevant to the current wave saying someone has no talent who is likeable and good at performing is ridiculous also.. whether u like it or not i don't like country but who am i to say they are talentless or whatever? them and their fans enjoy it.. like how are u calling this person talentless just say its not your demographic or u don't like it.. but to say this person who approaches music in her own unique way that feels fresh and new is "talentless" is a joke even lyrically i've heard much worse from more established artists juelz santana said he's flyer than an ostrich (ostriches don't fly) cardi said she falls down 9 times and stands up 10 (u can't stand up more times than u fall down.. in what universe can u fall down once and stand up twice?) i haven't heard coi spit anything ridiculous like what i just mentioned.. u may not like what she spits but yall are acting like it doesn't make sense when it does if u want lyrical miracle u can go listen to that.. but some of that comes at the expense of just being honest or having a good song.. a lot of people just ripped eminem a new one for that on that nas track for example there's nothing wrong with just speaking from ur heart and riding a beat anyway think what u want.. but as a rapper myself this is my opinion
