i was having a conversation with my mom and she made a really good point
the conversation was about my previous post about black women saying they are unprotected she pointed out the existence of white women being "karens" ..basically them being tattle tales and using their emotions to try and get people in trouble.. and being allowed to make mountains out of molehills she basically said a karen is a weaponization of protection she was saying black women don't have that type of protection privilege, where they can just accuse you of something and cry fake tears and get people to come to their defense now i will say this brings about a few other questions.. like why do people want the right to be a grown baby? ... or do people deserve that level of entitlement? but barring a deeper dive.. i would say that was a good point a karen is basically a weaponization of protection.. and the fact that karens are primarily white women stands as outward proof of the existence of their protection privilege with "protection" being the ability to get people to believe them and defend them basically i do still think women's primary protection comes from a man, but my mom was basically talking more about community protection
