i went to werk today and they were like hey we listened to ur album its really good! wow, thanks! david the graphic designer went as far as to make me a whole album cover thing.. i wish u could see it but he hasn't sent it to me yet.. he just sent me one piece of it which was this.. but the thing he made was actually like 4 pages in all..
it was like 2 fronts and 2 backs for the front/back of the cd insert and front and back of the back of the cd right now this is the only piece i have, i think because he said he wanted to do some more to it but i thought it was already perfect when i get the rest i'll show u, its so cool.. he put silhouettes of women on it and everything which surprised me cuz that means he extracted the overall theme of the music.. awsum! i'm glad some people like my tunes! i found 'hilda' today.
i love her feminine/curvy body, her quirky and curious personality, and her gorgeous and rare natural hair color her illustrator is duane bryers i am now officially a fan i will be looking into more of his work and career for sure.. these are amazing!!! i watched a documentary on suicide yesterday, it was really good
here is the link if anyone is interested.. but i actually don't recommend that u watch it unless u are very curious because it is very morbid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgG3kxnFTjU&feature=related anyway what i found to be crazy about it was one lady said that she deals w/ suicides a lot as an emt, and most of them are because people are just mean to one another this is very sad to me.. lets be nice to each other.. like what is so hard about just treating people with basic respect? another aspect is.. ok someone may think, oh u have a great life, your life is easy.. but what they don't understand is that u value something way different than what they value like if what u want the most in life is a family of your own then hindrances to that are going to hit u harder than they would hit someone who values money the most one easy example of this is when the stock market crashes, the bankers are the first ones to kill themselves why? because they value money the most anyway.. another contributor to suicide is a lack of faith, hope, and love lack of faith = "i can't" lack of hope = "my life will never get better" lack of love = "dang my wife left me, my friends abandoned me, no one likes me" the main problem with suicide tho is the fact that it is selfish.. what about everyone who cares about you? on some level you need to have a backbone and say "i won't put so and so through that" in the documentary they interviewed an old man who works in a cemetery and he said suicide deaths are way worse than natural deaths as far as the mood of the funerals and the pain involved with a suicide there is pain, unanswered questions, anger, blame etc... whereas a natural death will probably only have one or two of those don't even get me started on the person's soul.. some people say you can kill yourself and still go to heaven.. however my general take on it is that "thou shall not kill" goes for yourself too.. not just other people (in other words, i wouldn't risk it) the documentary also went into some detail about the mindstate of a person who wants to commit suicide options seem very slim hope is gone or dwindled to almost nothing in their eyes maybe a non-suicidal person sees 5 possible ways of getting from point A to point B but a suicidal person may only see one way.. and if that way is too hard then they want to get off the path because of this, it is important to try and talk to people around you.. to try and see other ways of getting through a struggle.. however a lot of times this is kinda the problem.. people aren't really listening what do i make of this whole thing? what are my conclusions? i say listen to peoples' problems (not every day.. but u know..) enough to make them feel heard and maybe see if you can help out offer to help people out without being asked try to have basic respect for everyone try to be nice to the people u care about the most and say something nice to people try to be forgiving and humble try not to magnify peoples' faults and flaws because chances are they are already ashamed inside, instead of rubbing their nose in it try to just tell them they can do better or just say whatever is going on is for the best because it may help set their anxiety at ease i'm definitely not perfect at these things but i just wanted to say something about it all werdage this is another music entry
more specifically, this is about charles hamilton charles hamilton used to be so amazing from a talent standpoint.. i remember the first album i heard of his was sonic the hamilton and i hated it, but then i came back to it later and loved it and got 5 more of his albums.. then i eventually got 5 more on top of those.. everything was pretty good not only was his music high quality and quantity, but he was very interesting to keep up with he had his blogspot which was very weird but fun to look at.. he also was always coming up in the news for about at least a solid year one day it was him lying about j-dilla executive producing his album then it was him lying and saying he was trying to put money in j-dilla's estate (this too was a lie) then it was him stealing someone's beat and saying it was his own and being exposed again then it was him being punched by his girlfriend on youtube during a rap battle then it was him losing in a rap battle at penn state then it was him getting dissed by rhymefest it was just always something, seriously it seemed like everyday for a bout a year, charles was either releasing new music, posting on his blogspot, or getting into some trouble it was entertaining to say the least now he is like the wackest human alive not to diss him but whatever swag he had is now gone completely.. his music is garbage, his fashion is garbage, he doesn't do funny things anymore, all he does is complain on his blogspot, i mean he is just WACK!!! all i am saying is i've never seen someone so great become so wack.. its like he was setup to win on all sides and still lost kinda like how goliath was supposed to win however david showed him who was boss he is so lame and wack and poor now that its amazing.. they said he had like a million dollars or more and now he is poor and even his fans think he is trash now but there is also a spiritual side to this he paid for an abortion in early 2009 for his g/f in other words, through this action- (taking part in the killing of his own child) he unknowingly cursed himself he can get it off but only through the Lord if he doesn't turn to God then the curse will remain on him .. and i'm not being self-righteous, i'm just telling the truth.. i know a lot about the nature of blessings and curses from God.. because i read a book about them and i also read deuteronomy 28 in the Bible early 09 (the same time as the abortion) is also when his whole career began going downhill, so yes, there is definitely a spiritual aspect to why he went from being like the best rapper out to being the worst people are not cursed without a cause, and in hamilton's case, i think that abortion did him in.. but come to think of it.. he also used to say he believed "god is a woman".. which is another thing God wasn't happy about my point is, God has left charles to just be foolish now he has like 60 albums and nothing to show for it.. think about that.. all that work and nothing to show for it.. there are bands who have been out since the 60s who don't even have half that amount of work out so yeah.. i just wanted to give an overview of charles hamilton he was extremely talented for a while there but God has stepped in and its over he ended up in a mental hospital, he went to jail, his blogspot is even wack now since all he does is talk complete nonsense and complain about everything.. and musically he literally makes nonsensical mixtapes now talking about gay sex over webcam microphones.. i definitely believe God has just left him to his own devices he was literally one of the best rappers i had ever heard and now he is pure trash, and i'm not dissing him but its just crazy i wasn't trying to find this, but i saw this symbol the other day and i noticed the occult symbolism these are from the band third eye blind
also i remember once reading an interview where the lead singer stephen jenkins explained that they got the band's name from asking a ouija board what their band name should be
anyway.. like i said, i wasn't looking for this.. i just saw their symbol recently and i noticed the 666 thing for the first time people in the occult oftentimes use things that have alternate meanings to hide what they are really saying.. u think its a 'b' but its really a 6.. they do things like this all the time i like the fact that i am able to spot some of their hidden bs automatically these days.. u guys keep ur eyes open! this is just me talking about a somewhat forgotten aspiration i had in high school about being in a band, and how i'd still like to do it btw, what was YOUR dream/aspiration in high school that u'd still like to do? again.. this is only for people deep into music everyone says j-dilla is their favorite producer or they even say he is the greatest hip hop producer of all time man.. how many of these people would like j-dilla this much if he never died? not dissing dilla, i like his stuff but when he was alive he was way more obscure than he is now who can really say they were on his music before he died? common and the pharcyde, erykah and madlib.. but who else? a lot of these cats are so bandwagon.. and like i said this is not to diss dilla but look at someone like madlib for example u don't see people talking about "madlib is the best producer of all time" but aren't madlib and dilla pretty much in the same or similar stratosphere? this reminds me of the whole pac and big thing.. they were big before they died, but once they died it was like way more massive than it was when they were alive i don't really understand why this is i think j-dilla was dope and there's no doubt about that, but i like madd producers just as much as i liked him u know what i'm sayin? its like people appreciate your work a lot more once u pass away or something like (not to speak anything negative, but just for example) if brandon boyd died tomorrow then madd people would say he was their #1 favorite singer.. but where are those people right now? are they photoshopping amazing pictures of brandon boyd and making t-shirts of him today? ..probably not anyway.. i don't really have a favorite producer.. i however will say that i tend to think just blaze is amazing and doesn't exactly get enough credit the beats he did "show me what you got" and "american gangster" alone are so good that its bonkers personally i'd put this beat up against almost ANYTHING for comparison of quality and craftsmanship
again, i don't really have a favorite producer, but if i HAD to choose, i'd perhaps lean toward just blaze.. 99.9% of other people however would say j-dilla without even thinking.. i understand he was amazing and i love his work but there are other dope cats out as well if he's ur favorite then cool.. if pac or big r ur favorites then cool.. but please lets not just be bandwagon here is just some general info about music i've been thinking about
if ur not deep into music and music theory type stuff u may want to skip this ok so... kelis's 2nd album was not released in the states and it was called 'wanderland' i used to think this album was great but i recently listened to it again for the first time since about 07 or so this album is actually terrible the reason i say its terrible is because i realized something i didn't seem to realize back when i liked it what i realized is that the album has pharrell's signature style ALL OVER IT one of the main reasons i have always admired ross robinson's production style was because he was able to bring the artist out of themselves and emphasize their strong points ross robinson basically takes himself out of the equation and makes the artists better as opposed to just doing the work for the artist (come to think of it, you could probably say the same about rick rubin) wanderland is an album where pharrell basically did everything for kelis.. its basically a pharrell album with kelis's voice on it its good music but anyone with a discerning ear can tell that kelis is at the forefront but its basically just not her work at all.. even to the point where some things don't fit her voice, but she sings them anyway.. taking cues and direction from pharrell the whole way through it actually even gets to the point where i wonder how she got signed in the first place.. like who did she top off to get a deal? i'm pretty sure her first album was the exact same way as well.. a neptunes album with her voice on it just my observation.. wanted to put that out there |
