we were always taught work before play
but have you ever met a person who refuses to leave their work to "come up for air" and see what (or who) is around them? is work before play actually a smart way to live? or is it a good way to miss out on opportunities and people? maybe we should play during work from time to time? "play" being: look around, spend time with people, talk about things, go out, spend some money, etc maybe you are focused on school and someone says "do you want to hang out?" and you say no because you have to study... but what if something interesting were to come of the "hang out" ? do you guys think we as people should be about our business first and foremost? or do you think we should keep people at the forefront and try to do more even when we are pressed for time and money? what do you guys think? how do you balance wanting to do things on your own terms with keeping your friends and family appeased? do the rules change if you are male or female? do the rules change based on age? i am a 29yr old male so what do you guys think i should be doing? should i give the cold shoulder to people and give my life 100% of the attention? or should i shirk some responsibilities here and there to make time for dating and spending time with friends/family? where is the balance?
