i want to talk a little about people who lie to employers and say they graduated from college when they really didn't and what i think of them
as a legit graduate, i probably should be upset with people who lie and get away with it but i'm not i feel like if you are an employer then its your job to be a strong gatekeeper if you refuse to do an education verification then that's on you as an employer if a person says they went to harvard, then you have to look into that i used to do verifications as a job and you verify so many in a day that you may let a few iffy ones slip through the cracks.. but some gatekeeping is better than none.. gatekeeping is better than assuming i honestly can't be mad at a person for lying about their qualifications if employers are ultimately gullible a lot of times in life, people are merely going to tell you what they think you want to hear... its up to you to try and see around the facades i also think that if you hire someone who said they graduated.. but they didn't.. but they end up doing a great job.. then you should likely rethink your hiring strategies.. because i honestly think choosing graduates over non graduates is in many cases nothing more than legal discrimination NOT ALL CASES, (because you need to graduate to be a doctor or engineer) but in many ++++++++++++++++ what does it mean to go to college? i tend to think people put too much stock in the whole college thing one of the most pretentious and asinine things i've heard people say about college is in the context of relationships they say things like "i can't be with a non college graduate because what if i'm talking about something with my other college graduate friends but my spouse can't keep up" i've heard people say things like that^ many many times and every single time, it pisses me off first of all.. i don't know what kind of pretentious conversations people think they will all of a sudden be having once they graduate from college like what in the world do you think you will learn that will make it so you're no longer able to converse with "commonfolk" ? i mean this is so stupid it boggles my mind ok so what if your parents didn't graduate, are you now "out of their league?" like did college teach you to think in 1's and 0's? is your mind seeing reality in binary code now? when people talk like this, i see it as a delusion of grandeur.. like you really think you went to college and now you're smarter and better than other people to the point of thinking on a much higher plain than they the bible says all there is in the world is the lust of the eye and the pride of life and this is a case where you are indulging in the pride of life.. to the point of complete delusion one day you will probably meet someone who is younger than you who makes 10 times the amount of money you make and you will say "what college did you go to?" and they will say "i didn't go to college" and you will sit there looking like an idiot as you remember you have $30,000 of debt and you have been giving off an aire of superiority ever since you were issued that cap and gown get over yourself.. you went to college.. you didn't have your brain infused with einstein's you just paid someone to give you busywork for four plus years you pompous clown
