i was on the internet once reading posts from "gifted" people
when i say gifted.. these people were talking about being "smarter" than most others and the difficulties they face because of it i had to read these posts because i thought it would be a lot of smug and arrogant people trying to impress each other, but it actually was interesting peeping what they were saying one thing stuck with me when i looked over all their thoughts one guy talked about how his brain was wired in comparison to other people he said simple things were sometimes difficult for him to grasp or understand because he always thought about all the factors involved in the answer.. if he was asked a simple question he'd have like 10 answers in his head and he would need the question to be narrowed down a lot more people would make fun of him for "not knowing the answer" but it wasn't so much he didn't know the answer.. it was more that the question (in his mind) was inadequate and a definitive answer couldn't be found without more detail he said more difficult problems were very easy for him to solve because he wasn't seeing so many possibilities.. the more complex or specific the question is.. the easier it is to come to an answer without trying to interpret meaning and balance out so many possible scenarios this stuck with me because this is something i sometimes deal with people sometimes ask a question and i wonder where the rest of the question is.. like to give a quick example.. imagine if someone said this to you "do you like apple pie more?" then you would immediately be thinking "more than what?" sometimes that is how people sound to me.. and when i was in school, sometimes i'd read a question on a test and be like WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? and a lot of times i felt like i would be the only one who had issues with how things were worded.. a lot of questions were just like invalid to me.. i don't know if they wanted u to guess what the test maker was thinking or what so all i'm saying is .. reading about those people was interesting and it helped me to feel more normal in my own skin many things in life are one size fits all but we're all different and its not necessarily bad or good.. it just is what it is
