one thing i want to talk about is something that has been going on lately in stores and in society
lately i go places to buy things and its just not there.. it is one of the most annoying things to go to a place specifically to buy something, only to see an empty slot while everything else around it is fully stocked this has become more and more of an issue recently to the point where i have developed theories as to why it occurs the main thing that is going on is this.. the internet allows people to get many things that they want without spending a lot of time and without spending money on gas.. you might have a shipping fee, but that's still better than if you went out to buy it and it wasn't at the store and you ran a lot of gas out of your car so basically.. as a result of the internet.. stores actually stock LESS items.. what i mean by that is this.. the more people buy items on the internet, the less stores have to stock.. so then it pushes certain things that sell less items to only be available on the internet let me give an example: ok say a store sells a red hat 20 times per week say that same store sells a blue hat 10 times per week in the days before the internet was so prevalent, the store would carry both hats because they know even though the blue hat sells less, it will still sell fairly well because people generally will go to the store to get it however nowadays with the internet, only the top selling items will be stocked in stores because its understood that customers can buy it elsewhere so my point is.. anything that is fairly obscure today is an internet purchase.. there were certain things i could buy in the 90s at stores that i can't buy at stores anymore.. i have to get them from the internet like take video games for example.. it used to be like if you wanted a game from 3 yrs ago, you'd go to the store and buy it.. but today.. if you want a game from 3 yrs ago.. that game probably isn't there so basically i guess i'm saying i have to get with the times and stop going out to buy items because most of the time they just aren't there.. it happens to me so much that its almost comical the internet pushes things into a further sort of obscurity but it also allows for more specialized purchases and choices to happen if i want a t-shirt that says "i love to fart" on the front, i won't find that at any store but if i type it on the internet i'll have that shirt available so for me.. the days of going out looking for things are over.. it has gotten to the point where its just not worth it anymore.. its better to just pay that shipping fee and save my time and gas money.. and spare myself the headache
