i just wanted to point out that i recently read something in a book that confirmed my whole theory about women being able to 'multi-task' ...so there was definitely merit to my entry about men, women, and college
i will find a quote for u.. i read this last night: "The female brain is organized for multi-tracking-- the average woman can juggle between two and four unrelated topics at the same time. She can watch a television show while talking on the phone plus listen to a second conversation behind her, while drinking a cup of coffee. She can talk about several unrelated topics in the one conversation and use five vocal tones to change the subject or emphasize points. Unfortunately, most men can only identify three of these tones. As a result, men often lose the plot when women are trying to communicate with them." that^ was quoted directly out of a book i recently got from the library (for pleasure, not school) i could say a lot more, but i'll leave it here for now like i said, this quote was just confirmation of my theory i had a few entries back i love the sites where people talk about their problems
most people know about fmylife.com but there is also ihatemydamnlife.com and mymiserablelife.com these are great when u feel bad or low because u realize ur not alone also some of these issues people bring up are very eye-opening.. they are perspectives you've never considered before this one girl said being attractive sucks because guys just want to use her for sex and girls hate her automatically one guy said his girlfriend is pregnant but he had a vasectomy 3 years prior one guy said his last bowel movement was 9 days ago i laughed REALLY hard at that one... some of these peoples' issues sound like a curse to me, and some people simply need to be more proactive with their lives either way i love that fact that people share, u kno wat i'm sayen? oh also i am beginning to see certain patterns here are some common issues.. whether they are the causes or the symptoms is up for interpretation loneliness porn being overweight being ugly bad parents sexual immorality negative inner dialogue feelings of worthlessness never having rest or normalcy being betrayed i don't really have much to say about all this.. this stuff is just what i like to look at while online i read peoples problems, i just find them to be fascinating i bought a box of black and white cookies the other day from kroger
they were made by entenmann's they were REALLY good if a girl were to ask "why do married men ask me out more than single men?" ..this quote would answer her question
"A married man has absolutely nothing to lose in terms of rejection, he doesn’t care, he just wants a chance at some beautiful “strange” that he would not step to as a single man. I see it all the time, dude gets married to average looking, supportive chick then runs out as many fine women as he can on the side because the fear factor is nil." i saw this^ quote today online and it just made perfect sense men don't want to put their confidence on the line to be hurt by a woman, but if he already has a woman, there is no fear- even if he is rejected, there is no sting he can go home and have his support system in tact single guys may be like "oh she's just going to reject me and i am not up for that today" as a self preservation thing because a lot of rejection begins to really wear u down in a lot of ways never forget ya boy...
LAUNCHPAD MCQUACK!!!!!! he was your sidekick before u knew wat a sidekick was!! he held u down in the city of duckberg in ducktales and dis ngga held u down in darkwing duck dis is da very definition of a REAL NGGA! i want to point out 3 areas where artists kinda lost their swag or some measure of their swag this swag loss was seemingly attached to- or related to a physical item of some type this whole thing kinda reminds me of the biblical story of samson (his power was in his hair) ok lets get to it (no particular order) exibit A: COMMON * thrift shop clothing when common dressed in his thrift shop gear i felt like he represented a new wave or new resurgence of hip hop during this period he came out with his album called 'electric circus' which was my favorite common album.. everyone hated it however my opinion is/was that they didn't "get" it.. it was like a backlash to industry stereotypes placed on blacks, males, and the genre of hip hop it was an embracing of who he was along with an embracing of his freedom to choose who he wanted to be.. during this period he was into a lot of culture, style, and knowledge which was outside the realm of so-called "real hip hop" part of the visual representation of this would be in his album cover for "electric circus" .. look up that album cover, look at it closely and u will see what i am talking about when common came out with the thrift shop clothing, i looked at him like "ok, he's really on to something here" .. i could sense he was taking hip hop to other places and i loved his sound at the time because it was outside the box yet remained more 'real' than pretty much everything else out (at that level) at the time unfortunately, the public didn't get it and didn't get the album either, and so he went back to more traditional routes of fashion, music, and thinking today he has a pyramid on his new album cover which is blatant paganism/illuminati symbolism and he came out dissing drake to get a buzz.. in my opinion, without even listening to his new music, its safe to say common pretty much sucks now.. _ exhibit B: ERYKAH BADU * the african head wrap when erykah came out.. she was revolutionary to black females, to black music, and to music as a whole they categorized her as neo-soul because she was in her own realm.. see.. when people have to create a new name to describe your music, u know u are original it was modern, but it had the spirit and soul of music with some history to it.. like self-aware black music.. like 'yeah i live in the age of the internet and coffee shops but i am 100% aware of the life, culture, and struggle of my people a few generations ago' this awareness came out in the music, the fashion, the videos, and more i think u could place d'angelo in the same category as erykah from that time period as far as bringing a new form of soul and black awareness/culture to the forefront erykah would have the headwraps and feel like one of us, but also like someone who knew a little more or had a little more heritage than us at the same time.. the 'on and on' music video is a perfect example of her headwrap swag once she got rid of the headwraps, it was like she stopped being interesting or some ish.. for me its as if she has lost some identity or adopted a new identity all i know is i haven't really checked for her for a while now.. is she swag-less? u decide exhibit C: PHARRELL * the nerd hat/ brain hat/ trucker hat man.. those nerd trucker caps.. MAN!!!!! pharrell MADE trucker hats!!!! no one was rocking those before he was unless u look at the 80s or maybe actual truckers lol when he had the nerd hats he was always going up.. like they were just getting more and more cool and making more and more dope music then all of a sudden pharrell stopped wearing the trucker hats and their popularity seemed to hit a plateau back when he was wearing the trucker hats, it wouldn't be a surprise to see 3 neptunes-produced songs in the top 5.. now the neptunes are merely known for what they did in the past.. its like the trucker hat allowed them to go higher and higher and when the trucker hat came off then their success didn't go away but it stopped going up and now they aren't a force like they used to be they absolutely defined cool for about 3-4 years or so i think pharrell even got GQ man of the year at some point.. i mean everything, fashion, career, music, videos.. it was all mind-blowing and ahead of its time.. i still find myself interested in some of the things they did like i still don't get where the idea for the red dog from 'fly or die' came from.. but i still find it to be so imaginative and cool now pharrell is on tv talking about "i am a pc" smh lol nah that's ok.. but i'm just saying.. that trucker hat swag was bananas!! By a man's fingernails, by his coat-sleeve, by his boots, by his trouser-knees, by the callouses of his forefinger and thumb, by his expression, by his shirt-cuffs, by his movements- by each of these things a man's calling is plainly revealed. That all united should fail to enlighten the competent enquirer in any case is almost inconeivable.
-Sherlock Holmes, 1892 old english of course so maybe i should break it down.. the more u perceive, the more u know without actually having to be 'informed' or told anything i may explain why i'm posting this later on for right now i'll just say this remember to keep your feelers up.. look around.. it can save u from a lot of deception in this world werd |
