roman fever Posted by poolboyjames on February 11, 2010 at 2:33 PM comments (0)i recently read the short story "roman fever" by edith wharton
we had to read it for literature class and i really liked it i have a link to it.. u can read it here http://classiclit.about.com/library/bl-etexts/ewharton/bl-ewhar-roman.htm ^^copy&paste if u decide to read it, note that i felt it started out slow, so if u decide to read it then my advice is don't stop because u will miss the best parts, just be patient i'm just sharing a story i thought was really good, i think it deserves a modern movie... as old as this story is, its still very relevant holla any suggestions? Posted by poolboyjames on February 6, 2010 at 12:16 AM comments (0)i'm not exactly sure what to write in here lately
...... ok i just got an idea, how about i just give a topic and talk about the topic video games: i just got critter crunch and i got the afrika dynamic theme.. they r both great i got critter crunch just to play a casual game with someone, so i haven't really played it.. it was 1/2 off on the psn for $3.50 so i basically got it for when someone comes over n wants to play something cool they haven't seen before the afrika dynamic theme is pretty amazing.. dynamic themes is actually one of the dopest new ideas to come to ps3 ----------------- girls: i haven't talked to any girls recently i haven't really had the opportunity since my classes are all lectures ------------------ gym: want to go more, however i've been engulfed in other things the gym is one of my favorite things here at Austin Peay its a great facility.. actually its rather new, its only like i think 3 yrs old ------------------ eating: i started eating salad like a week ago and since then i bought 2 heads of lettuce, meaning i'm goin hard on the salads right now also i found these they are wheat thins artisan crackers.. no high fructose corn syrup (which i try to watch now) n they're whole wheat crackers.. quite tasty i might add.. a subtle cracker.. it feels classy if that makes any sense its like u open the box and none of the crackers r broken or anything LOL.. them nggaz r just perfect hexagons n ish.. cut out fruit juice recently also.. i've been trying to just stick towater --------------------- coffee: 1st off why does coffee get its own category? smh coffee has been in the mix still, however it doesn't seem like i've needed it as much since i've been eating wheat thins and salad all the time (energy not as zapped as normal) by the way, i have realized that for me, more than anything else coffee is used to keep my mood in check.. i deal with this unreasonable anger and it turns me into a fountain of complaining.. i don't like being like that when i get like that sometimes i think i am disappointing God its like if u were a parent, and u worked hard to give ur child everything, but ur child still complained about little things all the time so i try to avoid a negative attitude and if i feel like my nerves r so bad that i have to cave and just get coffee i will do that in order to avoid saying/doing negative things and having negative thoughts ----------------- roommates: cleveland got a wii for Christmas (did i tell u guys that yet?) i am thinkin about gettin some games for it, cuz he's nice enough to let us play it freely in the living room i kinda wanna get klonoa josh seems to laugh at all my jokes, he's a cool guy one day we were talking about jobs and i said "the worst job would be to work at a dildo factory makin dicks all day" and josh was puzzled like "wtf?", but after that he busted out laughing so hard ^dnt kno why i shared that --------------------- clothes: want to send some to haiti speaking of haiti we had katrina, we had the tsunamis, and now this ^^something to think about bac to clothing... i realized i never put 100% into the way i dress well i have been lately.. been matching and coordinating like never before people always seem to be looking at me because of it.. meh ------------------------- music: orgy self + wired all wrong del the funky homosapien ------------------------ ok well that about covers it for now peaCe tv Posted by poolboyjames on February 6, 2010 at 4:11 PM comments (1)i had an idea for tv
i was thinking it would be cool if u could totally customize what comes on tv i was thinking, what i think would be cool for me would be to pay a flat fee and customize it to have like 10 channels each channel would be a different show i like and that's it.. just one show on each channel and whenever i turn away from a channel, that channel pauses so like say i'm watching channel 2, then i turn to 3 then 2 pauses and 3 starts so when i turn back to 2 then it picks up where i left off here's what my channels would look like: 1. daria 2. cheaters 3. roseanne 4. true life 5. i-carly 6. jenny jones 7. x-play 8. ned's declassified 9. music videos 10. dr. phil ^^^ not set in stone, but the 1st five would DEFINITELY be on my list and these channels would preferably come through a dvr receiver so i could rewind or delete or highlight whatever i want just an idea that's been runnin around in my head a bit holla power of wording Posted by poolboyjames on February 1, 2010 at 6:04 PM comments (0)the way u say something means all the difference sometimes
and things can be taken incorrectly if they are typed as opposed to spoken take these two sentences for example: "i don't want to see you, go away." "i don't want to see you go away." they mean completely opposite things and the only difference between the two sentences is a comma this is just something to think about no wonder they say body language (HOW u say something) is just as important as WHAT u say (^^ as for all the above, i noticed this when i was listenin to a song and i didn't know which way an artist meant their statement) |
