a while back.. probably over a year ago, i bought the evil within and i enjoyed it but i hadn't finished it.. but i said i might do a full review later
well i still haven't finished it but i deleted my save file, and started over.. and i'm currently on chapter 11 (i believe out of 15) so i feel i can give my thoughts on this game flat out i feel this game is a masterpiece i honestly think the themes, art style, gameplay, weaponry, characters, story, graphics.. everything in this game is amazing it has a spot in my favorite games of all time list for me- this game has no down sides.. it has the action, it has the stealth, it has the psychological aspects of horror, it has the suspense, it is just PHENOMENAL if you haven't played the evil within, i definitely recommend it.. its really fun but also really challenging, scary, and rewarding also the game is long so you get your money's worth for sure i paid $20 for this game i think in summer 2015 for the ps3 version.. talk about a value.. wow now the reason i didn't really sit with the game until now is because i just had so much going on and wasn't exactly in the mood.. but i would highly recommend this game to anyone who has some time to play a mind-bending game the only negative in the game is the long loading time each time you die.. but keep in mind i have the ps3 version which is the weakest of all i don't think this game has any dlc.. i could be wrong but regardless of whether i'm right or wrong- this game is a great value.. they aren't nickel and diming you on this.. its just a full package this game is in my hall of fame its just so creative and scary and action packed and twisted shinji makami is a genius in my opinion.. and i've noticed he has a lot of knowledge.. like have you ever turned on an album and said "wow this person really knows music!" or turned on a movie and said "wow who made this?" shinji makami has a lot of knowledge on things that have happened in the real world.. such as mk ultra and psychological warfare and brainwashing and manipulation and things like that.. i was googling him and trying to find out how he knows all this stuff because his games are like a glimpse into the secret world that we actually live in... but i didn't find out his sources all i found out was that he studied the psychology of horror which i think also ended up teaching him about mk ultra and monarch programming and things like that even the actual locations in the game are like based on real places.. i've seen some of them online.. he knows how they trap "mental patients" in wards and conduct experiments on them.. he shows how mental wards are really like prisons anyway.. i'm getting deep all i really wanted to say is this game is truly amazing ... he packs a LOT into this game there is legit never a dull moment or a moment where its predictable if you are walking down a hallway, you can bet that before you get to the end of that hallway, something is going to happen so far the scariest things to me have been.. laura is the scariest.. and the invisible people are second scariest.. those mini people crawling on their stomachs in the cave were unnerving also smh.. laura is so scary that i actually tried to beat her segments as fast as possible lol.. that thing is just... wow man.. what kind of drugs were they on to create that thing? great game, bravo and i still have 4 chapters to go!
