i had a job interview yesterday and (surprise) the two hiring managers were women actually, the entire office was full of women and they had one guy there and he was gay i am tired of things like this.. why is EVERY recruiter, hr associate, or hiring manager a woman? no wonder women are out here ballin out of control while men are struggling so anyway.. i sat down in the 2nd woman's office and i hadn't been sitting there for even 3 minutes and she said i was quiet how am i the quiet one when YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO INTERVIEW ME, IDIOT I HADNT EVEN BEEN SITTING THERE FOR 3 FULL MINUTES! this pissed me off.. this is what i'm talking about- i guess if i was a woman, maybe i would've said something like "oh i like the color of your dress" or something .. but since i am a male, and i don't give a f*ck what your dress looks like, i sat down with the intent to interview, and i feel like i am being sort of "reprimanded" for it she even said herself "this is an office full of women and they're not quiet at all" and i'm thinking, yeah its an office full of women because that's all you hire you prick this is what i encounter every day when i'm seeking a job.. i never get anywhere looking for jobs in this climate because it is like there are multiple layers of white women at every single job that i have to get through/impress (i'm not racist, it is just a fact).. there is absolutely no diversity in human resources... and they all think i am slow or something simply because i'm not them like yesterday at my interview they gave me a test and the test had addition and subtraction problems on it why the hell does someone with a bachelor of science degree have to take this dumbass test? it took everything i had not to really just look at them with a blank stare and go off i was looking at my current job's employment listings the other day and they showed a picture of the recruiting staff.. i saved it because it just struck me as so absurd looking.. what the hell is this? a sorority?
and if you think that's bad, look at my job's linked in page and before someone blames me saying i need to suck it up how would you like it if every job you went to- all interviews were conducted by the opposite gender and a different race literally 90% of the time? how do u think that would affect your ability to get a job? i mean wasn't it bad enough that in college i only had one black professor, and NEVER ONCE had a black male professor? i guess not and again, i'm not racist- i'm just saying.. sometimes u wish you could feel like things were more fair as far as having people in power who are likely to empathize with you on some level i've been looking for a job since about march.. frankly, i'm tired of the whole "we don't feel like you'd be a good fit" thing
