today was my birthday i'm 25 now
one funny thing about birthdays is sometimes people contact u and u don't expect it this girl contacted me and i was surprised "she knows my number? .. she knows when my birthday is? ...she remembers me?" i kinda don't understand things like that sometimes -whatevs- i had fun this yr i was glad to hear from everyone who got at me i was glad to hear people were doin good also i don't know if any of them know it but every person i like, i am just as- or more happy for them than they are when i see them do good, or accomplish a goal, or get married, or whatever it is they do anyway.. peaCe

i was watchin the cosby show and claire said something that caught my attention
she gave one of the kids a definition for being rich she said "we're not rich... rich peoples money works for them, but as you can see we work for money" that to me is a perfect definition of rich and non-rich rich people have money that works for them non-rich people work for money very simple ok at school i have noticed we really only learn bad news
whenever we have to learn something that can affect us in the future its always bad news i think think the general thought is that college kids have a fantasy life and that they need a dose of reality so somewhere along the line its decided that all of society's problems (like the environment, or food supply, or diseases, or the economy.. doesn't matter which one).. all of society's problems that get ignored by people who really have the power to make a change- get dumped on college students "they will learn about this stuff and then go out and water the flowers!" ngga i'm tryin to pass.. fck yo' flowers all these teachers have beliefs, causes, and issues they want to bring to the light.. they all have things they want to see happen in the world, so they beat us students over the head with it i get a sense that some of this bad news is pushed on us by teachers and some is pushed on us by higher authorities who dictate what should be learned in college (its probably around a 50/50 split, teachers/authorities) today one of my teachers actually unconsciously put words to this phenomenon, because he assigned us some work for another depressing "bad news" topic.. and as i was listening to him he said something like "you all need to be sensitized to this issue" hmm.. u want to make us have have a sense of urgency about this topic.. you have strong feelings about this issue and you want us to have strong feelings about it too.. on some level perhaps it is noble because the issues that are discussed may very well be important.. however still on some level isn't this a bit of an abuse of power? u have an audience that may not have signed up for your speech on modern politics, but this audience has no choice but to listen either way, i think the whole thing ends up backfiring.. teachers are obviously paid to teach students bad news.. and each individual teacher has their own personal bad news they want to share.. so it becomes overload there's only so much negativity a person can take until they stop being "sensitized" to any of it really at all like i saw a thing on tv where jennifer hudson (whose mom, brother, and nephew were all killed last year) said nothing really phases her anymore after that its kinda the same concept a person can only be "sensitized" to so much bad news until they no longer care at all what u tell them and they survive regardless... basically my point is with all this "sensitizing" us college students, it backfires and by the time you finish college, bad news no longer really affects you because you've been beaten over the head with it for four years.. this, i imagine would most likely create generations of people who are passive and indifferent about issues in general modern people sometimes wonder why the people in the 60s stood up to the government's wrongdoings in vietnam, but today no one really does anything about anything.. this concept is a large reason why people don't take a stand today like we as a country have been at war for what.. like 7 years straight? it no longer carries any real meaning to anyone anymore.. 7 years is overload.. people can only care for so long until they lose interest -thoughts- "reenergized by his wife's affection the husband once again goes out to face a hostile world"
- dan from roseanne this was a sarcastic comment from dan but man.. deep right? personally i look forward to the time when i am with a girl who makes me happy and reenergizes me i'm lookin for the type of girl who will be so dope that coffee becomes obsolete.. like what do i need java for? DO U SEE MY WIFE!? DID U SEE HER SMILE? DID U SEE HER BOOTY!? EVERYTIME U SEE ME IM IN THE BEST POSSIBLE MOOD!!! can u all relate to what i'm saying? i really look forward to a genuine love relationship "reenergized by his wife's affection the husband once again goes out to face a hostile world" incredible.. what a concept (the power of two).. and what a great indicator of the value and power of a woman the quote is basically is a reminder of the power of "chick + guy" which was instituted by God furthermore.. ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. Again, if two lie together, they keep warm; but how can one keep warm alone? good tymes the other day i was talkin to my friend eric and we were doin another classic session of
"who would u rather bang?" and i noticed no matter what.. i couldn't find anyone who was worse than missy elliott whenever it would be between missy elliott and someone else.. no matter who the other person was, it was always the other person we tried and tried but no one is less appealing than missy elliott i wonder if females played this game.. who would be at the bottom of their list? hmmmm oh and as for the top of the list.. i can't say the EXACT top, but i'd say mariah carey is way up there.. she almost always wins had to renew my driver's license this month did it today i'd say it was necessary too, cuz about a month ago this chick at a store asked me if that person on my license was really me i had to explain that i took the pic when i was 16 so she would let a brotha slide.. so here's the new one. speakin of driver's licenses..
cars r quite an expense and responsibility are they not? -maintenance -license -tags -washing/cleaning -gas -insurance -emissions testing -the actual car payments -speeding/parking tickets i mean seriously its crazy its a great convenience but wow a lot goes into maintaining it if u r reading this and u have a car u are probably thinking about some of your personal car responsibilities and shaking your head like "dang, pool boy ain't neva lied" if u don't have a car and u want one.. i'm not gonna say anything bad about having a car but i would say try to make sure u are ready to get it before u cop one.. because there's a lot that comes with them 4 wheels playa' peaCe u guys heard of dj am? he has that new show on mtv called "gone too far" where he helps people get sober from drugs/alcohol
they were saying he died this year so i decided to see how he died can u believe he died from a drug overdose? how crazy is that? He had recently finished filming a reality show for MTV, called Gone Too Far, in which he and concerned families staged interventions for drugabusers. Eight episodes of Gone Too Far had been shot before his body was discovered on August 28. The show's original premiere date was October 5, 2009. Before he died,Goldstein reportedly told his addiction -program sponsor that he wouldreturn to rehab. MTV has decided to air his show after much controversy. -wikipedia i also find it kindof amazing that he was a dj, he had a tv show, he was part owner of a club.. all these great things, but he had such a severe issue.. i semi-wonder how he was even able to function at such a successful level despite his issues with drug abuse the whole thing is just ironic.. literally.. someone who tried to get people sober ended up dying from an overdose i definitely think there are some things to be learned from this.. but instead of me giving my opinion, take what u will.. if anything ok so i said i wanted to say a few things about the whole white girl, black guy attraction do i believe there is research that can be done? YES did i do any? NO this is all just personal experience and opinion.. i dated a white girl for around 4 or 5 years (note: each point is represented with a different color) ok first let me address what i believe is a common misconception some people have told me like.. james.. a white girl won't love you as much as a black girl or.. james, a white girl is secretly out to get you or she doesn't have your best interest in mind.. ok.. now the reason i think this is a misconception is because the interest of the person (at least in my experience) is already there.. like somewhere along the line, they admired someone from your race prior to you even meeting them.. its not like u are that person's first person of your race that they liked or thought was cute for example i remember one time the girl i was with said that when she was a kid, she used to want to be black.. it wasn't like she truly meant "I WANTED TO BE BLACK" ..it was just a comment she made like.. she used to think black people were normally more accepting and more fun.. i knew what she meant when she said what she said so basically that's one misconception.. that oh, a person of a diff race may not appreciate you or love you but no.. a lot of times that love was already there in a sense for whatever reason before you even came along! and really, if your spouse is willing to deal with negative peer pressure, and negative family pressure in order to be with u (cuz there really are haters and racists who like to talk greasy) then that should show u that they really are there for you and its not for a superficial reason like so many people say it is ok now as for looks, obviously a lot of black guys appreciate curves on a woman, and obviously a lot of white females are insecure about their curves.. this makes an easy choice for both parties.. let me explain this a bit more ok a lot of black guys like curves.. so if ur a curvy black female, you might end up semi-stuck up because you are considered beautiful around your friends/family/peers so if a black guy sees a curvy white female, he may go for her because she is easier to get.. the black girls with the curves may be stuck up but the white girls with the curves may likely be the exact opposite.. they may have a bit of a negative complex about their looks.. so the black guy is excited to have someone who he thinks is pretty, but without a snooty condescending attitude and the white girl is excited to have someone who likes her just the way she is without her having to live up to a magazine standard now.. another thing to think about is the fact that the two are so different the black male and the white female in general are so different that i think a lot of times it helps the courting process.. there's more mystery there.. in a sense it can feel like a whole new world, they can really keep you on your toes in a sense for example a black guy may have to meet his white girlfriend's family, and that may cause anxiety for him because it may be a total culture shock.. but things that are difficult like that provide more of a challenge and they can add to the dynamics of a courtship.. basically.. sometimes getting over a difficult issue like culture shock (with the support of your spouse) can make u appreciate a thing more, and learning new things and new ways of life (like i said) adds to the value of your relationship the last thing thing i want to say is.. a lot of people say biracial kids normally turn out beautiful.. so that's one of the last reasons why the phenomenon exists this is just me talking about the phenomenon of black males with white females and why its so common i am not saying i prefer any race, i am just speaking on the whole thing from my take and experience i am willing to date any race my main thing is i want a girl i can respect.. a girl with some morals, a girl who will help make me better as a person anyway.. yall keep it bonkahz got upclose and what i saw, i couldn't believe/
My enemy was a genetic replica of me!/ battlin yourself is the biggest chore/ ...a truly vicious type of war/ So now I'm thrown off, taken back in fact/ I didnt know how to react i lack a plan of attack/ but he was in full effect and next/ He'd infect my intellect, with thoughts I couldnt accept/ Images of my grandmother in that old folks home/ Became very vivid in my dome/ his method is drastic, telepathic/ Damagin my mental fabric, hellafied horror, havoc/ Crippled, I can't stand it, or understand it/ yet my torture was expanded by thoughts that he commanded/ had a vision of my uncle sitting dyin by himself/ meanwhile he's breaking down my physical health/ i just thought of these lyrics a minute ago.. they're from a song called "return of the b-boy" from mr. lif these lyrics go with my last blog about trying to reach perfection u excel to a certain extent then one day u come face to face with... YOURSELF u try to focus on something and maybe something that happened years ago creeps into your mind and its intent is to take your focus.. or maybe u r too tired to want to carry on, or maybe u are harboring too much anger from a past happening, or maybe you have an addiction that is holding you back or whatever it is... at some point, u realize u will have to conquer your own self somehow in order to progress i feel like this is where i am its a timeless struggle is it not? its scary.. i mean read the beginning of those lyrics again.. it really makes you think. what could be more frightening than fighting that person in the mirror? but literally that is what we must do |
